Project scope

The Bioregions project promotes circular bioeconomy in European forests, offering an innovative approach to the sustainable management of forest resources. The client’s original website was already built with WordPress but had issues with content organization and information presentation. As a result, it was decided to completely redesign the site, keeping WordPress as the base but using the Gutenberg editor to provide greater autonomy for the client in managing content.

The new design presented a perfect opportunity to create a fresh look that better aligned with the project’s values. We drew inspiration from the Bioregions logo, which features a leaf with lines and rounded points at the vertices. These shapes became the core visual element of the new design, with fine lines that branched and grew into decorative elements such as leaves and dots. These figures were harmoniously integrated throughout the pages, adding dynamism and creating a visual identity that aligned with the themes of bioeconomy and sustainability.

The redesign focused not only on aesthetics but also on improving the website’s functionality. Graphic elements were carefully combined with images and text, creating elegant visual compositions that effectively conveyed the project’s key messages. Each page was designed to have its own unique identity while maintaining a consistent visual theme that reflected Bioregions’ objectives and values.

This approach resulted in a website that is not only visually appealing but also significantly more functional and easier for the client to manage, enhancing the user experience and the presentation of content.
