The Holisoils project website, dedicated to the management of European forest soils, was developed following the existing corporate identity. The project’s logo, symbolizing a fingerprint with circular lines, was a key inspiration for the website’s visual design. We incorporated these lines and leaf profiles as graphic elements to create visual cohesion throughout the site, reinforcing the connection with nature and forest soils.
The website design follows a minimalist approach, with large color blocks combined with striking visuals. These blocks contrast with simple line graphics, creating a balance between visual impact and simplicity, ensuring that information is presented clearly and engagingly for users.
Additionally, a set of custom icons was developed to represent different aspects of the project, along with detailed information sheets for the various Test Sites. These sheets were integrated into an interactive map, allowing users to explore different study areas dynamically and informatively. Dedicated information boxes were also included for the Toolkits, providing practical resources to help users understand and apply the project’s findings.
With this design, the Holisoils website successfully combines a clean and modern aesthetic with a functional structure that makes key information on forest soil management easily accessible. The result is a useful and visually engaging platform for all its users.
