Manuel Busquet Advocats is one of our longest-standing clients, with a collaboration that began in 2012. Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the Manresa-based firm, they entrusted us with the development of their new website, aiming to update both the design and content structure to meet current needs.

This project posed a significant challenge compared to the first website developed over 10 years ago. The new proposal focused on simplifying navigation, creating an improved content strategy, and enriching the descriptions of legal services. This approach not only optimized SEO but also provided clearer and more detailed information to users.

To achieve this, we opted for an essentially typographic design based on the colors of Manuel Busquet Advocats’ corporate identity, using conceptual images to illustrate different legal areas. This combination provided an attractive visual balance while reinforcing the firm’s professional and serious image.

Typographically, we chose Arsenica Variable for the headings. This serif typeface stands out for its wavy horizontal bars, which add a distinctive and sophisticated touch. Its sober morphology and classic style were ideal for conveying the professionalism and elegance that define Manuel Busquet Advocats.

For the body text, we selected Neue Haas Unica, a modern and versatile sans-serif typeface. With its clean lines and balanced proportions, this font ensures optimal readability, especially for long texts. Its neutral and minimalist appearance makes content easy to understand and maintains a coherent image with the elegant style of the headings.

The combined use of Arsenica Variable and Neue Haas Unica creates a harmonious contrast that highlights the headlines with character while maintaining a smooth and pleasant reading experience for the body text. This typographic choice reinforces the professional and refined image of the website, adding personality without sacrificing clarity.

In terms of color, we sought a balance between the strength of the corporate red, the sobriety of black and white, and an additional very light shade of brown that softens the transition between red and white. The black and white tones were used especially in photographs of the different legal areas and in specific backgrounds, providing coherence and elegance to the overall design.

The final result is a modern, accessible website aligned with the corporate identity of Manuel Busquet Advocats. A clean typographic design and a balanced color palette provide an optimal user experience and a clear presentation of legal services, significantly enhancing the firm’s digital presence.

Project scope

The new website project for Clínica Dental Stoma was much more than a simple graphic restyling of its previous site. While the content and navigation structure were retained, a completely new design was proposed to resolve usability and organic positioning issues, modernizing its appearance and adapting it to current web design trends. The main goal was to create a smoother, more structured user experience that aligned with the ambiance of the clinic’s physical space.

The website’s aesthetics were inspired by the clinic’s visual elements, particularly the ochre tones and wooden finishes present both on the facade and throughout the interior. These colors bring warmth and contrast with the stark, hospital-like green that dominated the previous site. The green was retained only for links and buttons, achieving a more balanced and welcoming color palette.

Regarding typography, Sanomat was chosen for headings and large texts—an elegant typeface that reinforces the sense of warmth and sophistication with a classic touch. For body text, Montserrat was selected, a sans-serif font that pairs seamlessly with Sanomat and enhances readability in longer texts.

The clinic’s high-quality photography became a key design element. The website was designed to give these images greater prominence throughout, reinforcing the visual experience and immersing visitors in the clinic’s real atmosphere.

Finally, navigation was optimized with a clear and intuitive structure. One of the most notable additions was a fixed appointment request button, accessible from any page of the site. Clicking the button opens a pop-up window with the appointment request form, making the contact process more efficient and user-friendly.

Project scope

The SUPERB project aims to provide solutions for the restoration of forest ecosystems. Based on the corporate identity provided by the EFI (European Forest Institute), we developed and designed the project’s website, maintaining a graphic style aligned with its values and objectives.

We created highly simplified graphic elements representing different aspects of forest ecosystems, combining them with high-quality images to bring each page to life. These visual elements helped clearly and attractively communicate the importance of ecological restoration, making the website both informative and visually engaging.

Additionally, we adapted the provided icons representing the project’s various activities, adjusting their colors and integrating them into the overall web design. This ensured that all visual content maintained a unified and cohesive aesthetic.

To enhance the website’s interactive experience, we developed an interactive map showcasing the different demonstration areas. This map allows users to explore the locations where restoration activities are taking place, making it easier to understand the objectives and reach of the SUPERB project.

Web design and development for MULTIPLIERS, a project that promotes a new way of learning by making science more meaningful.

Year of creation

Project scope

The MULTIPLIERS project aims to promote a more engaging and relevant science education for students by connecting scientific concepts with real-world situations. The design and development of this website began with the creation of its main page and later evolved with the implementation of the Open Schooling Hub, a search tool that provides access to educational materials and resources organized by topic, facilitating the discovery of pedagogical tools.

This project already had a logo and a set of pre-designed icons, each assigned to a specific theme with its own color palette. Building on this visual foundation, we created a structure of rectangular shapes that extended both horizontally and vertically, containing the information for each thematic area. These structured elements helped organize content clearly and effectively, ensuring an intuitive and engaging navigation experience.

To enhance the design, we incorporated animated circular shapes along the page margins, adding a playful touch reminiscent of game pieces. This element introduced a sense of dynamism and reinforced the interactive and fun approach of the project. Large icons and rounded, moving shapes were key in creating a visually coherent, engaging, and learning-focused experience.

caritas.ad

The project for the design and development of Càritas Andorrana’s website was carried out in collaboration with Pampliega & Associats, who had already structured the initial content. The previous website had not been updated or renewed for many years, making it outdated and misaligned both with modern web standards in functionality and accessibility and with the design guidelines of other Càritas websites at the national level.

Since there was no specific corporate manual, we analyzed several Càritas websites across Spain to extract key visual references, such as corporate colors, typography, and graphic elements, which served as a foundation for the new design. Based on these insights, we developed a modern and clear user interface, structuring the pages with a combination of large photographs, solid color blocks, generous white space, and prominent headlines to ensure readability and comprehension of key messages.

A central aspect of the project was the development of the online donation system, a crucial element for the institution as it provides a direct way for users to contribute. This system not only made online donations easier but also streamlined the management of offline donations for the organization.

Finally, we placed special emphasis on presenting the institution’s services with a structure that includes constant calls to action, encouraging users to request help or information quickly and easily.

European Forest Institute (EFI)

Year of creation

Project scope

This web project was developed to enhance the communication of the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance, an initiative committed to the sustainability of European forest ecosystems. Based on the corporate identity guidelines provided by the European Forest Institute (EFI), we created a design that not only adhered to the established visual directives but also introduced new graphic elements to enrich the digital experience.

We incorporated custom icons to clearly illustrate different sections of the website, improving content comprehension. The design was structured around circular elements that appear throughout the site, reinforcing the central concept of circularity and the natural cycles that the organization promotes. These shapes are interconnected by subtle lines symbolizing the connection and interdependence of ecosystems.

The color palette and typography were adapted for web use while maintaining consistency with EFI’s institutional identity, ensuring a cohesive visual experience. The result is a website that offers a fluid and clear reading experience, making information easily accessible.

Currently, all EFI graphic materials, including brochures and other resources, follow this same design approach, establishing a strong visual identity aligned with the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance.

Our collaboration with the association began in 2018 when we took over the technical maintenance of their old website. In 2021, coinciding with the launch of their new corporate identity, we were commissioned to create a new website that better suited their needs.

The old website had several issues, mainly due to its outdated structure. The most obvious problem was its obsolete design, which no longer reflected the association’s current reality. Additionally, the content distribution was confusing and disorganized, making it difficult for visitors to find relevant information such as the organization’s projects, news categories, or key areas of action.

The goal of the new website was twofold: first, it needed to align with the new corporate identity to strengthen brand recognition through a modern and visually appealing design; second, it required a restructuring of the content through a prior information architecture study, ensuring a clearer hierarchy that made information more accessible and understandable.

The new website also addressed a major shortcoming of the previous version: it significantly improved visibility for calls to action, encouraging new memberships and making the registration process smoother and more direct through the site.
