Verificat is a digital media outlet dedicated to fact-checking, a crucial aspect in today’s information era, where the spread of fake news and misinformation demands rigorous and specialized work. The goal of the project was to modernize its online platform to improve usability, adaptability, and better highlight its role in news verification.

Regarding the design, we maintained the core corporate identity while introducing significant improvements in usability and digital adaptation. One of the main modifications was a typography change, selecting one better suited for the web environment, enhancing both readability and the overall aesthetics of the site. The design followed a clean and functional approach, aligned with Verificat’s values of clarity and accuracy. A structured layout was prioritized to allow quick identification of content sections and ensure easy access to fact-checked articles.

The project was developed in two distinct phases:

In the first phase, we focused on the full migration of the website. Verificat had a site built with Expression Engine, and the primary challenge was transferring all content and structure to WordPress. This process included exporting all articles while ensuring they retained their original categories to preserve content organization. Additionally, new templates were created to adapt to different page types.

Once the website was successfully imported into WordPress, we moved on to the second phase, which involved implementing the new design. The goal was to optimize the navigation structure and reorganize content to enhance the user experience. A new content hierarchy was established, allowing for smoother navigation while clearly emphasizing Verificat’s work. The revised structure not only made information easier to find but also highlighted the key areas of Verificat’s fact-checking efforts.

For the layout, we used Gutenberg, the native visual editor of WordPress, which allowed us to create a flexible modular system. We developed various reusable modules for different pages, aiming to make it easier for the Verificat team to create new pages and sections in the future without needing external technical assistance. This modular approach gives them greater autonomy in managing and updating content as their work evolves.

The final result is a modern, intuitive, and easy-to-manage website that not only improves the presentation of information but also strengthens Verificat’s identity and mission as a reference in fact-checking.

Energiehaus

The new website for Energiehaus, a Barcelona-based architecture and consultancy firm specializing in sustainable architecture and construction under Passivhaus standards, was a complex challenge for us. The new platform needed to integrate a corporate site with multiple services, a Showroom, the Showpass section, an online store for course sales, an events area, and a blog, requiring a comprehensive development process that covered both corporate identity creation and website design and development.

The project began with the creation of prototypes or wireframes to structure the pages clearly and functionally. Intuitive navigation was a priority, allowing users to easily access Energiehaus’ broad range of services. Each section, from the online store to the blog, was designed with its own visual identity while maintaining overall brand coherence.

The client opted for a design based on collages that combined natural elements such as trees and other environmental motifs with black-and-white cut-out photographs. This distinctive aesthetic reinforced the message of sustainability while maintaining a modern and elegant look. We also designed a series of infographics and icons that followed this visual style to clearly and attractively communicate Energiehaus’ services.

In parallel, we developed a new logo inspired by the Passivhaus concept, where external energy surrounds and benefits the interior of a building. The logo featured a house icon, representing this energy flow in a simple yet powerful way. The contrast between the black logo and the bright yellow surrounding it reinforced the brand’s visual identity, symbolizing the energy that surrounds and protects—an essential element of Energiehaus’ philosophy.

The final result was a dynamic, visually compelling, and highly functional website that perfectly captured the values of innovation, sustainability, and energy efficiency, strengthening Energiehaus’ online presence and improving the communication of its expertise in sustainable architecture.

Manuel Busquet Advocats is one of our longest-standing clients, with a collaboration that began in 2012. Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the Manresa-based firm, they entrusted us with the development of their new website, aiming to update both the design and content structure to meet current needs.

This project posed a significant challenge compared to the first website developed over 10 years ago. The new proposal focused on simplifying navigation, creating an improved content strategy, and enriching the descriptions of legal services. This approach not only optimized SEO but also provided clearer and more detailed information to users.

To achieve this, we opted for an essentially typographic design based on the colors of Manuel Busquet Advocats’ corporate identity, using conceptual images to illustrate different legal areas. This combination provided an attractive visual balance while reinforcing the firm’s professional and serious image.

Typographically, we chose Arsenica Variable for the headings. This serif typeface stands out for its wavy horizontal bars, which add a distinctive and sophisticated touch. Its sober morphology and classic style were ideal for conveying the professionalism and elegance that define Manuel Busquet Advocats.

For the body text, we selected Neue Haas Unica, a modern and versatile sans-serif typeface. With its clean lines and balanced proportions, this font ensures optimal readability, especially for long texts. Its neutral and minimalist appearance makes content easy to understand and maintains a coherent image with the elegant style of the headings.

The combined use of Arsenica Variable and Neue Haas Unica creates a harmonious contrast that highlights the headlines with character while maintaining a smooth and pleasant reading experience for the body text. This typographic choice reinforces the professional and refined image of the website, adding personality without sacrificing clarity.

In terms of color, we sought a balance between the strength of the corporate red, the sobriety of black and white, and an additional very light shade of brown that softens the transition between red and white. The black and white tones were used especially in photographs of the different legal areas and in specific backgrounds, providing coherence and elegance to the overall design.

Praxis Resilient Buildings specializes in engineering, energy consulting, and Passivhaus certification, dedicated to creating sustainable, healthy, and efficient buildings.

The website project was completed in two phases: in the first phase, a basic website was developed, along with the integration of an online course platform, allowing users to easily access specialized training.

In the second phase, a content strategy and SEO consultancy was conducted, during which the website’s content and structure were adapted to optimize its search engine ranking, improving visibility and attracting new clients. Additionally, further design modifications were made, refining the layout to meet the company’s needs and reinforcing its visual identity to clearly and attractively communicate its values of sustainability and efficiency.

When we were approached to revamp the studio’s website, we encountered several challenges, as the previous site had significant shortcomings: an outdated design, lack of 100% responsiveness, pages with almost no textual content, and a URL that contained no keywords—factors that severely harmed its search ranking.

Another challenge for the new website was to generate quality traffic to connect the studio with its desired clientele.

We began with an SEO audit to identify, first and foremost, the issues that needed to be addressed and avoided in the future. We defined the website’s objectives and the target search segments we aimed to reach.

We analyzed its current ranking, the competition, and the relevant keywords, and prepared the on-page SEO for each page. The resulting report also helped define the content hierarchy of the website before its execution.

When we received the commission from Monday Happy Monday, their website had issues and clear opportunities for improvement. On one hand, we were working with an outdated design, but the main problem was that the company’s services and objectives had evolved over time and were not reflected on the website, which could skew its SEO positioning and fail to reach the appropriate audience.

Therefore, first of all, a strategy was designed to identify content and develop a content plan aligned with the website’s objectives.

Once the keywords were identified, the main microcontents of the website were developed along with the final texts for each of the service pages.

The course content was created with a practical and didactic approach, based on real cases and the latest industry trends. In addition, custom illustrations were incorporated to facilitate the visual understanding of technical concepts.

An essential part of our collaboration has been the tutoring and follow-up with the students, providing personalized guidance throughout the training process. The European Forest Institute FLEGT is an international organization dedicated to regulating global forest exploitation, promoting sustainability and legality in the timber trade. Ideamatic closely collaborated with their team to reimagine and digitalize the knowledge management flow related to the bilateral agreements they establish with the countries they operate in.

The project included an initial phase of in-depth analysis of internal processes to identify areas for improvement and specific needs. Based on this analysis, a custom platform was developed to integrate and optimize information flows, facilitating efficient and secure access, sharing, and data management.

The result was a comprehensive project of corporate ethnography, digital strategy, and the complete construction of a platform tailored to their organization. This tool not only simplified administrative and document management but also significantly improved collaboration between teams and data-driven decision-making.

This comprehensive approach enabled the European Forest Institute FLEGT to streamline their workflows, strengthening their ability to meet sustainability and legality objectives in forest exploitation.

This project involved a complete update of PEMB’s image, making the website not only visually appealing but also functional and intuitive. In addition, it focused on enhancing the digital presence of the institution’s main projects, ensuring that they were prominently displayed and accessible to all users.

The new website was designed as a 100% custom tool using Bugalú, a content management system (CMS) developed in-house, with an agile, scalable, and flexible architecture capable of growing as PEMB evolves.
